About Us

Our Mission

To cultivate the success of minority and women CPG entrepreneurs through: grocery education, seed funding, mentorship, leadership development, investor access, marketing, technology tools, supply chain support and financial management

The Navigator Lighthouse Foundation aims to increase the representation of minority and women entrepreneurs in the food retail industry. We provide the pathway to product sales that minority and women owned businesses would otherwise struggle to achieve relative to the major CPG and other consumer brands.

We focus our support of minority and women owned brands in three main areas:

  • Access | Access to retailers and investors
  • Educate | Quarterly training deep dive courses, webinars, USC Food Industry Management and Cornell Food Management Programs
  • Cultivate Innovation | New Brand Seed Funding and Expansion Funding

We connect retailers with brands from this growing network and lead minority relationship consultations to ensure these brands are well-supported through each retailers’ system. With these tailored solutions, we will see an increase in three key areas: the presence and exposure of under-represented entrepreneurs, the number of qualified CPG entrepreneurs, and the successful integration of minority-owned brands into the marketplace.

Our Story

At Navigator Sales and Marketing, we represent specialty, ethnic, organic, niche and emerging brands with unique and innovative offerings. We know the ins and outs of the industry, and we utilize the relationships and partnerships we have developed to help our clients navigate their products onto the store shelves. So, when retailers began reaching out to us seeking connections to women and minority-owned brands, we knew a better line of communication, resources, and opportunity was in great need.

It’s been found that just under 3% of venture capital in the USA is awarded to women-led teams, and only 1% to Black and Latinx founders.

Minority and women-owned brands need tailored solutions to get their much-deserved seat at the negotiating table and their products on the shelf. We founded the Navigator Lighthouse Foundation to create a holistic success system for women and minority CPG entrepreneurs to launch and succeed in the grocery industry. We combine the successful model of Navigator Sales and Marketing’s brokering process with unique areas of support and focus to pave a tailored path for minority and women business owners to get their products into the store. It is time to combat systemic racism and give our attention, platform, and resources to uplift Black, Brown, and women owned businesses, and we at the Navigator Lighthouse Foundation are here to guide the way.
